Main achievements:
- Based on international practices (AMEC), a system for assessing the effectiveness of communications was adapted and implemented. Each communication activity was considered from the point of view of need and value for the business. Independent international auditors, in particular Stuart Bruce, recommended my model for implementation in all SCM businesses. The total economic effect of implementation in Metinvest Group is over $500 million (the economic effect of communications was calculated according to the principle: financial effect of the adoption or non-adoption of laws minus the Company’s communication costs);
- A software package for interaction between press service employees has been developed and partially implemented. The economic effect for business is over 5 million UAH per year;
- An information and analytical center has been created to promote the metallurgical agenda at the national and international levels. Target audience: legislative and executive authorities in Ukraine. Investors, analysts and the business community – at the international level. The center has become an expert portal for providing up-to-date information on the metallurgical market.
- Work has been established with opinion leaders (ecology, economics, finance) to promote the necessary agenda at the national level;
- Structured work with national media: Channel 5, Channel 24, TRK Ukraine. Main achievements:
- In Kryvyi Rih, cooperation with independent trade unions has been established. At the time of employment, the head of the independent trade union of the Sukha Balka mine declared an indefinite hunger strike and agitated the employees to enter into a labor dispute with the company’s management. Thanks to direct dialogue and constant communication, it was possible to prevent the opening of a labor dispute and the suspension of production. After two years of fruitful work with NPGU, they turned from an “enemy” into an ally;
- In Dnipro, interaction with environmental and public organizations has been established, thanks to which environmental rallies have ceased to be held near the Petrovsky DMZ. Press tours for the media and excursions for public activists have been organized on a regular basis, which has contributed to reducing tensions around the environmental and production activities of the enterprise;
- Confiscation of documents by the Prosecutor General’s Office (due to the lack of a license for mining, the Prosecutor General’s Office stopped the operation of the Sukha Balka mine. Thanks to timely communication in the media, the enterprise was able to resume operations.
